A little difficult to get the hang of it, but eventually we figured it out and it works better than anything else we have found.
I'm new to the whole soft boiled egg movement, but I'm a true believer in this egg cutter. All the cuts have been pretty spot on. I find it works best to pull the lever up to create the cut, twist to get the cracker off the egg and then use a knife to take ofd the top.
I like the fact that it was very easy to use great quality material and easy to clean

Works well. A gentle twisting motion (3-4 turns) is enough to make a clean cut. I highly the device.
For several years, I've been using the "original" clacker—the one with a little weight that drops and tops the egg. It often required two or three tries to separate the top of the shell. This one is spring-loaded and nearly always gets it right—as long as I'm holding it correctly. I find these clackers work best if I hold the egg and topper together while I pull and release the clacker (using a glove, of course). These devices are indispensable if you like to eat soft-cooked eggs out of the shell in egg cups.
