I really didn't think this would work. My girlfriend eats two hard boiled eggs every morning and I've watched her spend 10 minutes peeling both of them stooped over the trash can. I figured this was worth trying even if it didn't work.
But it did.
It worked beautifully. Two eggs peeled in less than 2 minutes without making a mess or anything.
It's decently made, is fairly solid and easy to clean.
Every house should have one.
We have only used it only once to date. However, our first attempt was very successful. This was with an egg that started out in cold water and removed from the heat at a rolling boil. After a 7 minute wait, it was then moved to an ice water bath for 15 minutes. This created a perfect soft boiled egg. 15 or 20 shakes later, in this device, the shell was removed with minimal effort.
