Best little egg seperator yet. For the money, I could not ask for more! I got so tired of getting the yolk in my egg whites with my old way of separating so I broke down and purchased this little gadget. It works wonderfully! It's made of a soft silicone material. It's cleans up easily and separates my eggs flawlessly and beautifully. The size is perfect and it is easy to use. I will never go back to the old way of separating eggs again. The item arrived before it was promised.
If you've ever used an empty water bottle to separate yolks, this should be a breeze... some concept, minus the waste of using a water bottle. Use a shallow bowl to ease separation, separate using apparatus, and put separated whites in a bigger bowl if needing more than 2 eggs. Great concept.
Bought this about a year ago....didn't like it at first, so we thought we would keep practicing. The verdict is in, we do not like it. Yolk breaks more often than not. It was worth the gamble for this low price, but we've purchased a more traditional separator now and happy with it.
Meh.... sucks up too much egg white with yolk. I find it easier to separate just using the old fashioned “pass the yolk” between two half shells trick. Also I find this pops the yolks consistently. This makes it a pain to clean.
I use this often when baking and it's easier and neater than any other way I have tried to separate eggs. it has worked every time, for every egg, probably 100 by now. I see some have had issues, but I have used it with fresh and older eggs, organic and not. Bottom line, I am much more likely to make things that require the eggs to be separated! My favorite tool.

Works great! The suction is good unless you put all of the eggs in a bowl and then try to take the yolks out. It's like the egg white is too thick in a bowl and it covers up the yolks. what if you crack them either one at a time and take the yoke out or crack them straight into your skillet, this thing works great!
The suction is not easy to control. On medium or large eggs there are problems as the yolk leaves a gap around the opening and white can be sucked up too.
If you want to keep the white and toss the yolks, then it is ok, but you will likely suck some or even most of the white that you want in with the yolks.
If, on the other hand, you want to use the yolks only, they will be contaminated with some white, and since there is a 50% chance that the yolk will break, especially if there is white in the bulb too, you end up having to make do or start over.
I bake a lot of German chocolate cheesecakes which means I have to do a lot of eggs separating. I am very particular about making sure that I don't get whites in with my Nagy oaks and this does the trick I just squeeze it over the egg after I crack it and hold it for a second to make sure all of the white is separated and I have a very clean separated batch of egg yolks for my custard. Cool invention.
I really like using this and does the job of getting just the yolk. The first time was hard and I broke the yolk a couple of times, but practice makes perfect
