Works well, even with heavier bottles. I was hesitant to buy, because I had tried previously a large silicone funnel that was intended for the same use as the Smart Funnel. The silicone funnel would not stabilize larger bottles. I had to prop the top bottle up against something and hope it didn't fall over. With the Smart Funnel, I've already transferred a highly viscous lotion in a large bottle to another, with no problem whatsoever. The Smart Funnel washed nicely in my dishwasher and has already paid for itself in product saved. One of the best features is that its components rotate around the same axis. You are able to swing the clips or the funnel out of the way if need be; although, I can't think of a scenario where I would. I'm VERY happy with my purchase and plan on buying some as gifts. Pros: sturdy, accommodates many size bottles and configurations, washes well, holds bottles stable, able to be used for other functions (storing liquids...see packaging for examples), inexpensive (even more so if purchased in bulk), nice color selections. Cons: None
This little set up is great! I don’t splurge on a lot but I love my Philosophy body wash and Unite shampoo/conditioner. Needless to say I try everything to get every little drop but ended up frustrated having to store the bottles upside down only to have them fall off the ledge in the shower and scare the hell out of me or my family. Saw this and decided to give it a go. When I would give up previously and throw away a bottle with product inside my heart hurt, but with this gadget I get at least 5-8 more showers from my body wash alone. It works on the large pump dispenser bottles as well. Easy to clean just throw it on the top rack in the dishwasher.
When I received this product I was excited about it and thought it was exactly what I needed. Although the product works well, it has its limitations. I am a very thrifty person and always have bottles "spout to spout" trying to transfer the last little bit into another bottle.
CONS:
The main problem is the funnel needs to have a larger cup and pour spout. With the funnel being this size, thicker products (like lotions, shampoos, conditioners or liquid soaps) spill over the edge before it has time to drain in bottom bottle.
Does not work on larger gallon sized bottles.
Weight distribution plays an important part so a heavy bottle on top of an empty bottle will fall over and spill.
PROS:
Excellent for refilling products.
Great for draining the last bit of product from bottle.
Comes in different colors.
Great quality with strong, sturdy clamps that easily secures to different size bottles.
Great for combining 2 bottles of condiments together (ketchup, mustard, ranch etc).

Health & beauty items such as lotions, shampoos, conditioners, liquids soaps, etc.
Condiments like honey, salad dressings, ketchup, mustard, syrup and more.
Household cleaning products like window cleaner, bleach cleaner, all purpose cleaner, dish detergent plus many more.
Auto items such as oil, antifreeze, wiper fluid, car cleaning products, engine treatments....
To sum up: I do love this product and use it often but it would be more beneficial if it had a larger cup and pour spout. Buy one for food items and one for cleaners (do not use same unit for food and cleaners) I would recommend purchasing this item.
I bought this specifically to transfer moisturizing lotions, like Vaseline Intensive Care, into decorative bottles. This funnel is virtually useless when you want to transfer thick products. In fact, the funnel's opening is on the small side so it makes the whole process even slower. The only advantage is that it keeps both bottles fairly stable, but even then you need to be careful. Yes, it's helpful if you're transferring something very fluid like shampoo from one bottle to another, but why pay $10 for something that you can easily rig with a funnel you probably already have on hand?
I hate throwing away any of the left-over product - yes, I am cheap.
The easiest and cleanest way I have found to get those last few ounces of Vaseline Intensive Care lotion out of the bottle. The bottles will stay upright for 24 hours. The viscosity vs. funnel opening is such that you may have to 'bounce' the set-up on the counter (using two hands to keep it together) once or twice during the transfer.
When the top bottle is empty, remove it and you may have to 'bounce' the funnel empty as well. At this viscosity level, I also put a hole in the top bottle for air flow. You won't get it all in 24 hours, but you get enough to make the process worthwhile.
Clean-up is easy.
If my description does not make sense, just connect the bottles and leave it for 24-48 hours, disconnect, trash the empty, then clean your funnel. You won't transfer as much, but you will have recovered enough.

Very handy
I love the smart funnel. How many times I have wasted minutes holding one container (usually shampoo or conditioner) to drain it over another. Now I just set it up and leave it. I'm so impressed!!
Tip it, leave it, come back and it's done! What a time saver, and the stuff you don't normally get from the bottom, you're able to use up. Money saver too!
LOVE this item I use mine in the bathroom for shampoo, body wash bottles, etc. so useful. My daughter uses hers in the kitchen for ketchup, mustard, dressings, honey, etc.
I am very pleased with the bottle funnel. I just hate waisting the last 8th of the bottles by just throwing them out.
