This is the type of chopper/manual processor that has been on my wish list for years. What a let down! Although everything appears to be well made I see not only safety hazards, but also not-so easy cleaning. I can see how this can be useful for a family that does a lot of cooking - but for just one person, unless entertaining, it's just as easy to pull out a good knife and start chopping. It's one of those small manual appliances that will most likely go in the closet to be pulled out 2 or 3 times per year. It does appear to be quite versatile - but the downfall is the cleaning of the blades when you're done with it - unless you have a dishwasher, leave the cleaning to an adult in the household, and watch your fingers! Directions are confusing. I was quite discouraged.
I was gifted a similar gadget for chopping veggies a few years ago and it was my go-to for prepping dinners (especially onions-I hated the stinging tears from manually chopping- a few quick slices with a mandolin chopper and I was tear free!). You literally save so much time (I am a slow chopper). I decided to get a new one since my old was getting dull. I decided on this one and when I received it I was SO IMPRESSED. It’s much sturdier and larger than my old one! And all the attachments come with a handy little storing/carrying case-so convenient! It was definitely an upgrade and works beautifully! You really can’t go wrong with this kitchen gadget. It actually locks the attachments in place!! (my old one had started popping out mid-chop because it just pop-clicked in) and the cleaning brushes are PERFECT! No more tiny bits of chopped veggies hiding in crevices. So glad I ended up buying this one.
In my quest to eat healthier I’ve been cooking with a lot of veggies. One of my go-tos is ratatouille, which requires a lot of chopping. An eggplant, 4 zucchini, 2 red onions, and a green pepper doesn’t sound like a lot, but it takes forever, especially because I prefer it all in a uniform small dice. So I finally invested in this and it’s amazing. Today I made the ratatouille and another dish simultaneously and this thing cut at least an hour from my prep time and everything is pretty and uniform. From first chop to clean up it took less than 2 hours and I couldn’t be happier.
But do not underestimate how sharp this is! When I unpacked the box I put it all right in the dishwasher. When I was unloading my finger barely grazed the blade of one of the dicing inserts and it cut my finger enough to bleed a little. I didn’t even feel the blade, just the ouch. So do be very careful.
This item is a must have for your kitchen. I used it two days after I bought it to make salsa and it cut my at least 30 minute salsa making time down to 5 min. I also sliced tomatoes and avocados for the burgers up in no time. I love it already. The cleaning takes a little time because you have to make sure each slot is clean and you have to be careful because the blades are sharp but its definitely worth it! Like I said fresh out the box it works like a charm! When the blades start dulling or something goes wrong I will add to my review so you can at least have an idea of how long the product last but if you don't see any additions to the review it is because it is still working like a charm. Also I would recommend buying the 11 piece as it doesn't cost too much more than the 7 piece and it comes with more blades but if all you can get is the 7 piece I'm sure that one works just as well as the 11 piece.
There aren't a lot of veggies that I like. I do like bell peppers and onions though. But there's a big problem....I hate spending the time to cut them up and make something out of them. This thing has solved that problem. Not only does it only take a few minutes to dice/chop up a lot of veggies, it's also really fun to use. I do suggest that you use the included glove though. I BARELY touched one of the sharp edges on the dicing block and it drew blood. That's my fault for not following the instructions! Now that I've had this for a couple weeks, I think I've had some form of vegetable every day. I even added some carrots to my pepper/onion medley (and I usually don't like carrots at all) because you can dice them up so small that you hardly notice them. I feel like i'm eating a lot healthier now!

French fries, tomato, peppers great on the small dice. Halve or even more slices on the tomato or it mushes. A little hard to get it clean with the tomatoes, but I love how they turn out. Don't use on spinach. Just sticks in the top. VERY sharp, just ask my finger. I was trying to tell my husband to use the glove and pointed a LITTLE to close to the blade. We've tried fries on both sizes of dice and we prefer the smaller. We usually do it over a bowl instead of the container provided because it fills too fast and the fries are sometimes pretty long so they don't fit the container as well. The push plate on the top portion is a little difficult to get out, I'm afraid I'll bread the tabs. You can clean it while it's in, but it can get water underneath. All in all it's held up really well, and I really smack it sometimes. Other than the tabs, the only thing I worry about is separating the top portion from the bottom, again worrying those tabs might break. We haven't used all the different blades yet so I can't comment on all of them. I love this product.

Seriously people... I cannot stress the awesomeness of this little contraption!
It is soooo efficient, sooo tidy, sooo easy to clean and store... WOW!!!
It cubes/grates/ shreds everything in mere seconds...and stores them in that container until you're ready. It is more solid than I expected. The other gadgets that are included are high quality, and that little safety glove is amazing. If you're on the fence about this...hop off and just get it. You will be delighted.
FYI... use only 1 carrot length in the cuber at a time... more than 1 and it's difficult to push, other than that, everything else was a breeze.
This unit won’t chop a half an onion unless you stand on the thing. Difficult to clean as well.
