I had reviewed another slicer and while that included the ability to cut the avocado, some reviews said it did not work well with ripe avocados. I bought this instead and was surprised at how well it works in cutting the avocado into nice slices. Because the slicing portion of the tool was made with a fine wire, it worked even when used with a soft, ripe avocado. It was rather easy to wash the tool with a faucet spray. I was rather sloppy putting the the slices off of one half but other half shows what can be done if one is a little more patient :-)
This item does help with cutting the avocado into slices. One side slices and the other pits. Cleaning the slicing side can get a little tricky if you have an over ripe avocado but its manageable for the convenience it offers.

Love these! It seems silly to have a tool specifically for cutting avocados, but if you eat them regularly it’s SO much less annoying.

Pain in the a$$ to clean. The threading has tiny hole openings that the avocado gets stuck in. I love how well it works... but I feel like the difficulty to clean it after makes me less likely to use it every time.
Disappointing
Bought one for us and one as a gift. Like the stainless steel vs the plastic offerings.
Only recommendation is that is shoukd have a knife edge to cut the Avocado skin....then it would truly be an “all in one” utensil.
I purchased this as a gift for my wife and she took to it immediately. Makes removing the pit and slicing the avocado so much easier. Best if you use it on a ripe avocado.
