The lid doesn’t stay down every time I want to use it the lid slips
So check it out, for 20 years I've told my wife we've gotta get one of these, and when it finally arrived, I prepped soup in 15 minutes.

She was astonished.

Taco night, turned from 30 minutes of prep to 5

Stir Fry - 5 minutes

Country Omelet - 5 minutes

Coleslaw - 2 Minutes

Hash Browns - 7 Minutes *Including 6 minute cook time*

I mean, this thing is the master of all.

Two important notes:

1) If your using the dicing inserts -Don't stick in WHOLE potatoes, Onions, Tomatoes, cut them all into quarters first (Slice into quarters, or chop, depending on what your goal is), this way you don't bend or damage the blades, it'll make your chopper last longer (I've worked in kitchens for 30 years, these will last if you treat them right)

2) Use the food safety handle anytime you are using the top end slicers for anything, those blades are REALLY sharp and you do NOT want to swipe the tip of a finger off!

These things are great, and turn anyone into a pro slicer, dicer, and cut your prep time down by hours if used properly. Don't abuse it, and it'll last a lifetime, put whole potatoes and onions in, it'll last about a year.
Such a versatile kitchen tool ! I can slice, dice, julienne, shred, separate an egg yolk, & rice. I, honestly, didn’t know what that last one was. The only rice I know is the kind you get w/ chinese food lol. But what it actually is, is “ricing” certain spices like ginger. I’m guessing “root” types of spices and now, I can’t wait to try it. No more jarred ginger if it works out lol. The only thing this tool doesn’t do is peel the vegetables for you lol. I like that it has a removable strainer included & how everything fits inside. I don’t have to worry about making room for extra parts. The included demonstration book was very helpful. I wouldn’t have learned what a ricer was without it. It seems pretty sturdy so I’m hoping it’ll last for a while. I’ve heard of mandolins before but never felt the need to buy one but now that I know everything it can do, my kitchen wouldn’t be complete without one.
This item is equipped with some surgically-sharp components (they warn you! I still got cut!) and is easy to use. It has just about everything you need to make fries, carrot sticks, grated cheeses or vegetables, slicing things. The listing mentions spiralizer but I see nothing that would accomplish that. I tried it out making french fries with a large potato cut in half and while it did cut them rather easily, the pressure required did seem to make the whole unit sag a bit in the middle as I applied pressure. The plastic does seem to be strong and flexible though so it was no problem. The parts all fit to store inside of it with the exception of the safety handle to protect your hands (use it!) and the little egg separator. It's not real expensive and would serve well for most people to make time when preparing vegetables.
It was pure coincidence that this vegetable slicer arrived on the day that I was making burgers and fries for dinner, but it worked out absolutely wonderfully. The various chopping implements are all designed to be inserted and removed into the base extremely easy, and I sliced an entire onion in under 30 seconds. There's also a handguard you can insert into your onion/potato/tomato/whatever so that the blades (which are sharp!) don't touch your fingers.
After the onion slicing I did the same with my tomato and that worked just as well. You can tell how sharp a blade it by how well it handles a tomato, and this handled the tomato! I diced the potatoes afterwards for the fries and it was just a simple replacement of the slicer with the dicer, and a putting the potato underneath the handle. Push the handle down, it goes right through the grater like a dream.
The various chopping/slicing/dicing/julienne implements all fit inside the main container, and it doesn't take up much space on my countertop at all. In fact, I just stuck it next to my toaster and I can barely tell it's there. It was super easy to clean up and I can tell that I'm going to be using this a lot. Definitely worth it to have.
