I looked long and hard for a product that would make eggs in the microwave, but was also dishwasher safe, bpa, and Phthalate free. I'm glad I bought this Sistema. It's perfect. I loved it so much, I bought more, so the family can make their eggs however they want them. I do use two at the same time in the microwave, and just adjust the cooking time for a few seconds longer. Microwaves vary, but for me, their instructions of 40 seconds, stir, 40 more seconds, just turns into 40 -44. It's pretty close, and that's with two. We enjoy making our own little mini omlettes, but much healthier as we don't need any butter or oil. It's so simple... add an egg, scramble with a fork, add a dash of milk, scramble again to mix well. Add whatever fresh herbs, seasonings, cooked or soft veggies, or cooked meat you'd like, and use the cooking times above. Clean up is a breeze, since it's dishwasher safe. No issues at all, except how everyone wants their eggs. Right now, scrambled on a english muffin seems to be winning. Another tip, is to precook a potato, and dice before adding, so you have that lovely hasbrown and eggs dish. Or if you love cheese, add shredded after you take it out of the microwave, for a real treat, then close the lid. The heat melts it. The eggs come out cleanly, for us, so it's easy to plate. This is definitely something we are using several times a week, and it's much healthier than eggs on the stove. Plus, everyone can design their own. I love it, and really was surprised at how fast and easy it was.
This has to be one of the best inventions known to man. i use it at work and love it. Super easy, super fast. I cook a strip of bacon in it for a minute and then add the egg. 40 seconds on one side, flip and 20 more seconds. Bagel from the toaster, slice of cheese and done.
I was extremely hungry this morning and decided this was the perfect morning to finally use my Sistema Egg Cookware. I read the instructions on the back of the package, I had saved them because I forget everything, but something seemed off. There's no way that 1 egg is going to cut it. So I instantly ignored the instructions and opted for 2 eggs instead of 1, two tablespoons of shredded cheese, two tablespoons of crumbled bacon and a squirt of water (didn't have milk). Microwaved for 1 minute, stirred, microwaved for another minute...stuffed it in my gob and it was delicious!

Seriously though, this device couldn't have been easier to use and gave me a fine two-egg scramble in just over 2 minutes. It tasted great, the texture was soft and fluffy (for those of you who have microwaved eggs before, you know how tough they can get) it was TOTALLY worth the time and money to purchase this item. I will look for reasons to buy other Sistema products because of this Egg Cookware!
This makes the perfect frittata, quickly and easily. The product itself I give 5 stars to, the instruction not so much. I had to do some experimentation on my own to figure out what works best because at first the egg was still liquid and then it got overdone. Now, however, I think I have found the the perfect recipe (at least for my microwave).

You can use up to two eggs and whatever mix-ins you want or have on hand. I always add a splash of milk too for fluffiness. I cook in the microwave on high for one minute with the vent close, then another two minutes with the vent open. When all is said and done I have a three minute breakfast that cooks on its own while I'm getting ready. Note: the more filling you put in, the less egg it's going to fit and it can overflow. I also find it to be very nonstick. The frittata just slid right out without any trouble.
This egg cooker was purchased to take on a trip to make breakfast easier.
It started out well, the description states you can only cook one egg at a time but it actually does better with 2 eggs. Added some cheese, tasted great. The time guidelines for cooking are quite far off ( we also have a 1000W microwave the egg was not done when cooked as described). You are best off to start with 30-second intervals, for 2 eggs you need at least 1 minute.
The cooking part was great - but then came the cleaning: uugghhh. The egg was cooked on to the sides and did not come off easily, it took some serious scrubbing with a soapy sponge.
Next time we tried it with a light cooking spray but the egg was greasy.
Now, if I imagine taking this to a hotel, where I don't have a sponge, the clean up alone would not make it worth it.
So this was is chalked up as a mistake and waste of funds.

I don't use this as home because for me, a skillet works infinitely better. That being said, at work I only have the microwave. Reheating cooked eggs makes them rubbery, so I was looking for an alternative. This little gadget is exactly what I needed.

I sprayed the bottom with cooking spray and added in a little bit of chopped veggies, then cracked 2 large eggs in. I lightly scrambled them, closed the lid and opened the vent. I microwaved for 30 seconds, 30 seconds, then 20 more seconds and I cannot believe how fluffy and light they turned out (fun fact: perfect size for an english muffin!). I noticed other reviewers had issues with it caking on, but I had no issues with it thanks to the cooking spray (as seen in the image). Will be using this daily for a delicious breakfast at work!
This thing is amazing!! I do Keto; no bread...with this I can make my egg/protein sandwiches with ease!! I used two. Sprayed each container. Dropped an egg. Poked the yolk and gave a light scramble. Did not add "a splash of water" like the instructions said. Opened the vents. Put them in the microwave for 1:30 and poof!! They slid right out and no messy containers like others have commented!!
Great product. Eggs turn out very well and no need to use butter or cooking spray. It takes a few tries to get the timing perfect for how you like your eggs but well worth the effort for prepared eggs in record time.
I've used this twice now, so can't comment on durability, but both of my mini omelettes turned out deliciously. I used two eggs and then added a few bits of tomato, some ham, pepper and onion. A quick initial mix around with a fork and then 50 seconds on my 900w microwave, followed by a stir and then a second 50 seconds. The result was a lovely fluffy omelette that just slid out of the container with no fuss. Not tried poached yet, but I'll update when I do.
No stars this was new in packaging and when opened you can clearly see from the photo that the product has been used with an egg residue left on the inside. Absolutely disgusting
