Product description claims this is made in Germany, but when it arrived it was clearly marked with a sticker that it was made in China. 1 star for lying in the product description in order to charge more than double what equivalent Chinese-made products cost.
I own the Rosle silicone balloon whisk, and have loved it for several years. When I needed to replace my silicone flat whisk (different brand), I decided to order this one. No where in the description does it tell you that this product is made in China. It tells you that it's German designed, and that it's made by Rosle USA.
According to Wikipedia (take this how you want), the company closed it's German factory in 2009, and now produces it's products in China.
I don't necessarily think that everything that's made in China is crap, but I don't appreciate Amazon & the company not being upfront with that info, and charging the prices they do.
The product description specifically says “made in Germany” and the product that was shipped came from China. This false advertisement and a bit of a sham because the product is priced at a premium over the other Chinese made whisks. I don’t mind paying a premium when I know the reason is that tradespeople are being paid a fair wage. Now that I know they are outsourced to China it’s just all about lining some already rich persons pockets. The Chinese government is not in the process of improving worker or citizens rights despite the best efforts of its fair minded citizens.
Another well-built tool from the folks at Roesle! I wish I knew about their kitchen tools years ago, I could just have been buying their well-engineered products and saved myself grief over the years. They are pricey, but the work and they last.
Even something as simple as this balloon whisk has thicker wires than some of my other whisks, so they are NOT inclined to bend when used. When one of the wires is bent, it is very hard to re-bend it... it always seems to stick out or be otherwise unsightly.
The fact that is stainless steel of higher quality improves durability and corrosion resistance. My oldest large balloon whisk was purchased over 35 years ago and has carbon steel wires. They've never bent, but corrosion and cleaning are a pain to deal with. I doubt that I will ever have this problem 35 years from now, but good stainless is good.
I’ve used whisks made by KitchenAid and The Pampered Chef (and one I found at Anthropologie a few years ago), and this is my favorite by far. The Pampered Chef whisk has a skinnier balloon than I prefer, and my KitchenAid and Anthropologie whisks both snapped in half when I was using them after only a few short months. After doing some research online, I found a recommendation for this whisk. After seeing the price and thinking it over, I decided to treat myself and see if it lived up to the hype. It absolutely does. I’m dorky enough that I get excited every time I use it. The balloon is large, so it incorporates a lot of air, and the whole thing feels very sturdy. I’ve used my Rösle whisk for a little over a year now and I’ve made double and triple batches of cake batter using this before I got a stand mixer because that’s what I had to work with, and it was no problem. Also, as I mentioned before, the balloon is large and incorporates lots of air, so I was able to make homemade whipped cream in under 4 minutes, something that I wasn’t able to do with my smaller whisks.

Because the whisk is quite large, if you’re working in a small, shallow bowl and you want to rest the whisk in the bowl, the whisk will fall out of the bowl. It’s not necessarily a deal breaker, but it’s something to be aware of.

Overall, it’s very sturdy and easy to clean, and a fair price given the quality of the product. I would recommend this to anyone who is a serious baker and likes to make multiple batches of goodies at a time.

Wonderful product. I bought this one as a gift, and got my original in Paris. While this is intended as a whisk for making sauces, I use it (and have for years) as a general all-purpose whisk. Cannot praise this product highly enough. It's nice and heavy, balances in your hand, and does a much better job than any whisk I've had before. It's also easy to clean, even though it might not look it -- I generally just run hot water over it after I'm done (and it never gets tangled, like other similar whisks do). This is the same brand I got in Paris as well. It's an excellent product. A little pricey, but I've been looking around in the states for it for a few years, and only recently thought I'd try Amazon. Glad I did. PS I've had this for about 3 years now, if not longer, and no rust so far!
Product description states 'dishwasher safe' and heat resistant to 500-degree fahrenheit; purchased in Nov. 2017, by June the silicone along the outermost ring had split, resulting in scratches on my stainless steel cookware. I'm very disappointed, considering the price I paid for this product. The product description also states there is a lifetime warranty, hoping to hear back from Amazon re: this.

After posting the above review, Amazon reached out almost immediately and provided a replacement product within 48 hours. We love the whisk, and we are hopeful this one withstands the test of time.
This may become my new favorite utensil. The silicone doesn't scratch nonstick pans and this serves as an excellent whisk or stirring device. I've already used it when sauteing vegetables or loose meat in my non stick skillet. Also have used it in my Instant Pot to stir soup and yogurt. I like it so much, I may need another. It is a bit pricey, but Rosle quality is generally good. I was a bit disappointed that this is made in China, though.
Really useful
Had a very similar one before but the silicon started to break along the wires eventually and I've been looking for a replacement for ages. This is a little stiffer than my old one (flexibility is part of why it works so well) but this design is easily the best for making gravy in a roasting tin because it gets into all the corners at the same time as beating out any lumps. Brilliant!
