BUY IT, you'll love it. Please allow me to address the 4 poor reviews. Two said they broke, so I deliberately tried to snap it with my hands; NO WAY, this is super well made. Two said it was too short. However, longer won't give you proper balance and I have no problem sliding my pizzas in and out of a 500 degree oven with no gloves. The finish is superior so a light coat of flour and corn meal lets your pizza slide in and out with ease. Believe the 5 star reviews, this is a high quality peel, you won't be sorry.
This peel is tapered on both sides so the point of the bevel is above the face of the stone. This means you cannot get the peel under the pie unless you angle the peel to lay the edge flat. If the opening of the oven is not high enough to let you do that you end up pushing the pie to the back of the oven, now very difficult to get out.

Covid19 made me buy this! I started baking bread at the beginning of lock-down, and wanted to move to pizza. I needed a peel desperately and found this. No regrets! Works great and isn't SO big that I can't store it. This is the perfect size for my pizzas (and breads) and I am able to hang it on a set of hooks I have. To clean it I just wipe it with a barely damp towel and hang it up. Great product esp for the price!
Item arrived in good condition. Great quality product & packaging at a great price. The rotating rubber handle is such a great idea, as it folds in for storage purposes. I decided early on that I wanted a foldable pizza peel, and this one fills the bill. The paddle end is big enough to accommodate the frozen pizzas that we typically buy, and the locking knob that fixes the handle in position is secure. When this is not in use (and folded up) we can easily store in at the back of the kitchen counter behind other things where it is out of the way.
We use this with a pizza stone in the oven, and with that combination we get good results. It is also the perfect size for at home use. Would definitely recommend to other pizza lovers!
Just what we were looking for and needed! Before this we were using a standard rectangular shaped cutting board. The pattern or notches on this one makes it easy to cut the pieces same size. And cleanup is a breeze with this board. Wish we had bought it years ago.

Use

1. Sprinkle with flour, cornmeal or milled wheat bran to allow the pizza, bread and baked goods to slide easily onto the peel.
2. Carefully place onto a pizza stone, baking sheet or tray with the peel.
3. Once finished cooking, slide out the pizza, bread or baked goods from the oven using the peel.
4. Enjoy and serve!
Pizza Peel Care
1. Simply wash the pizza peel in warm water with mild soap.
2. Do not soak it. Rinse with clean water. Do not place on wet countertops.
3. To prevent drying of pizza peel, once washed and dried, treat your pizza peeler with food safe oil. Always wash board after preparing raw meats to avoid food contamination.
4. Please note that the pizza peel is not safe for dishwasher.
As others have mentioned it is completely cracked in half where the hole is drilled for the handle. Overall it seems a bit small as the handle takes up alot of room. I wish it were longer , more sturdy, and a bit more tapered at the end. Bamboo doesn't hold up well on layers like many believe. Maple or Ash are much better options
GREAT TOOL! First off - it is very beautiful, I'll be using it as a cheese board when I'm not using it to build pizzas.
I have a metal slip, but the pizza sticks to it when putting it in the oven. So I use this slip to build my pizza on and it slides off beautifully onto my stone. Then I use the metal slip to remove it from the stone and have my next pie ready to go on the Fiery Chef Slip.
I'll recommend this to anyone who like to make homemade pizza pies.
The big problem with this is the handle. It is long, making it awkward to store. The handle can be folded, but you have to disassemble it to fold it. The peel is thicker than it needs to be, and not as large as I wanted. (This is our fault: it says 12 by 14, making the largest useful size 12 inches.)
We used this for a few months, then bought a replacement.
